West Ham United make January transfer decision on Gideon Kodua
West Ham youngster Gideon Kodua is set to join Wycombe Wanderers on loan, according to Dharmesh Sheth.
The reporter shared the update via Sky Sports’ live transfer blog [11 January, 6:01pm], with Kodua due to stay with the League One side for the rest of the season.
Kodua, still aged just 19, has yet to feature for the Irons at senior level but has been a regular for the Under-21s.

Promising player
This will mark the second academy graduate departure of the window following Conor Coventry’s switch to Charlton Athletic, albeit Kodua still has hope of a future at London Stadium.
Unlike Coventry, he still has age on his side and this is only a temporary departure with the aim of giving him some much-needed first-team experience.
Wycombe are closer to the relegation zone than the play-offs in the third tier, so Kodua will likely be thrown straight in at the deep end at Adams Park.

West Ham have a good connection with Wanderers, who also have another loanee in Freddie Potts on their books.
Kodua has caught the eye for the age-grade side this season, having scored seven goals in 17 outings, including a goal against Wycombe in the EFL Trophy this week.
If Kodua was being discussed as a target prior to then, that goal may well have sealed his loan move to the Chairboys, where he will now look to continue his development.
In other West Ham news, another transfer development is surely close at London Stadium after a player’s “strange” actions this week.
