West Ham United in talks to sell Nikola Vlasic, Torino told multi-million offer is ‘not enough’

West Ham remain in talks to sell winger Nikola Vlasic as Torino have been told their current offer is “not enough,” according to Ryan Taylor.

The Express journalist tweeted that the Serie A side, where the Croatian spent last season on loan, are “keen to complete the move”, but that the option to buy him for £11.3million has now expired.

Taylor said the latest proposal from Torino for the 25-year-old is worth £8million plus add-ons, but he claims that is “not enough” as the Hammers seek to recoup more of the £25.7million they paid CSKA Moscow for him two years ago.

Bargaining chip

DAZN Italia journalist Orazio Accomando tweeted on 19 July that West Ham are interested in Torino centre-back Perr Schuurs, with the Serie A side hoping to receive a fee in the region of £30.4million.

That makes Vlasic an important bargaining chip in any negotiations that they have with the Serie A club, given that they are keen on keeping hold of the winger.

It’s no surprise they want to sign him up after he impressed during his loan spell last season, scoring five goals and laying on eight assists in his 37 appearances.

West Ham

But that doesn’t appear to have tempted Moyes into handing him another chance at the London Stadium after he scored just once in 36 games in all competitions during the 2021-22 season.

The Hammers are understandably wanting to receive as much as possible for the Croatian after paying a significant fee for him, so we should be asking for a cash-plus-player deal for Schuurs or telling Torino to cough up the £11.3million that was originally agreed when he went out on loan.
