West Ham United ‘have enough money’ to convince Barcelona and Sergino Dest of summer transfer
West Ham “have enough money” to convince Barcelona and Sergino Dest about a summer transfer, but must first avoid relegation this season.
The Hammers have been linked with a move for the USMNT international right-back as the club look to bolster their full-back options following Vladimir Coufal’s drop off in form over the last 12 months.
Dest is likely to leave Barcelona in the summer after a poor loan spell with AC Milan this season and West Ham are one of several clubs interested, but they won’t stand a chance if they are to be relegated from the division.

According to a new report by Fichajes.net, West Ham have got the money to convince both the selling club and the player of making the move to east London but they must retain their Premier League status to have a chance.
Options
Nobody seems to know what the plans are for next season at West Ham because the situation isn’t clear yet.
We don’t know if we’ll be playing in the Premier League or the Championship, and because of that there are big question marks over whether or not David Moyes will be the manager.
But regardless of all of that, new full-backs are definitely going to be needed and Dest would be an intriguing option if we are able to secure our top flight status for next year.

He’s very good going forward and has plenty of top flight experience having played for Ajax, Barcelona and AC Milan in his young career as well as for the USA international team.
The fee isn’t going to be too hefty considering the season he’s just had, but he would bring some great qualities to the squad and fans should be excited for this deal if it were to happen.
