West Ham United set sights on new striker target abroad – ExWHUEmployee
West Ham United still have nine games to go in the current Premier League season, but they have already started their preparations for the summer transfer window.
The Hammers sit 16th in the top flight following Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Everton, and will be looking to enjoy a more fruitful campaign next term, which will mark Graham Potter’s first full season in charge at the London Stadium.
Potter’s first game in the Hammers dugout witnessed his side suffer a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa in the FA Cup third round back in January.
But in recent weeks, Potter’s men enjoyed back-to-back victories over Arsenal and Leicester prior to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Newcastle on 10 March.

West Ham set their sights on Midtjylland ace
West Ham have struggled in the final third this season, and have managed an underwhelming return of just 33 goals in 29 Premier League outings.
But Potter and co appear set to rectify that issue during the summer transfer window, and have set their sights on Midtjylland gem Franculino Dju, according to ExWHUEmployee via West Ham Way.

West Ham are also keen on a deal for Nordsjaelland defender Lucas Hogsberg, but perhaps it is the club’s interest in Dju which will catch the eyes of supporters.

Dju could be a shrewd addition for West Ham
Potter’s men have struggled in front of goal in the Premier League this season, as summer addition Niclas Fullkrug proved to be underwhelming prior to suffering an injury.
Meanwhile loyal club servant Michail Antonio, who has effectively led the line for the Hammers on several occasions, remains sidelined after enduring a car crash back in December.
But Dju could provide West Ham with real quality in the final third if the club are able to land his signature this summer, having notched 12 goals and five assists in 31 appearances across all competitions this term.
Midtjylland sit top of the Danish Superliga largely thanks to the fact that Dju has scored seven goals in 18 top-flight appearances, 14 of those being starts.
He also proved prolific during Champions League qualifiers earlier this term, as he scored three goals and provided three assists in six appearances.
Furthermore, at just 20 years old, he boasts bags of potential while he has already represented Guinea-Bissau at senior international level.
