West Ham United eye transfer as Manchester United ace Aaron Wan-Bisska update emerges

West Ham have open talks to secure the services of Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to Alex Crook.

The talkSPORT journalist claimed on 17 July that the Hammers want to sign the England-born right-back in the summer transfer window.

Wan-Bissaka has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford with Erik ten Hag fancying Diogo Dalot.

Crook wrote on X: “WHUFC have opened talks with #MUFC for defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.”

Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be a shrewd signing for West Ham

The right-back is a proven Premier League performer with excellent one-on-one defensive skills, which would provide a solid foundation for the backline.

His ability to win duels and recover the ball would help the Hammers control games and limit opposition attacks.

Moreover, the 26-year-old’s experience at Manchester United, a top Premier League club, would bring a winning mentality and high standards to the London Stadium.

His versatility in playing on either flank would also provide tactical flexibility for manager Julen Lopetegui.

At 26, Wan-Bissaka is entering his prime years and could be a long-term solution for West Ham at right-back.

With his contract expiring next year, the Hammers could potentially secure his services at a reasonable price, making him a cost-effective addition to the squad.

Whether or not the club can convince him to join this summer, remains to be seen.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers may vary their training routines as they have made an approach to sign a £70m-rated player this summer.
