West Ham United eye permanent deal as ExWHUemployee shares Tobido update

West Ham are keen on securing the signing of Jean-Clair Tobido but the move hinges on one condition, according to ExWHUemployee.

The reliable Hammers news source claimed on 28 October via the West Ham Way that the only thing preventing the France international from signing permanently is the club’s uncertain future in the Premier League and he will join permanently if they avoid relegation.

Currently, the Irons sit in 13th place after beating Manchester United 2-1 on 27 October at the London Stadium.

“We can exclusively reveal that the only thing preventing Jean-Clair Todibo from being a permanent West Ham player is whether the club stay in the Premier League,” Ex said.

“Todibo joined the club on loan from Nice with an obligation to buy if certain criteria was matched. It was thought that all he had to do is feature in over 5 PL games for the club, which he achieved with his six appearances on Sunday.

“Todibo replaced Mavropanos at half time on Sunday and went on to have a very solid game.

“This will be positive news to West Ham fans who have been impressed with the French international’s start at the club.”

Jean-Clair Todibo is right to be apprehensive about the situation at West Ham

Despite a significant investment in the squad and the appointment of a new manager, Julen Lopetegui, the club’s performance has not met expectations, with the team languishing in mid-table.

This could be one of the reasons why Todibo may be apprehensive of his long-term future at the club.

The expectation was for the Hammers to be challenging for European spots, not fighting to secure their Premier League status.

For Todibo, whose loan deal includes an obligation to buy if the Hammers remain in the Premier League, staying implies a long-term commitment to a club whose immediate future seems uncertain.

This uncertainty could affect not only his playing time but also his career trajectory.

Lopetegui must swiftly turn around the team’s fortunes to not only save West Ham’s season but also to persuade other signings that the club are heading in the right direction as there’s very little to indicate that as of now.

In other West Ham news, a source close to Tim Steidten has issued an update on Julen Lopetegui’s future at the club.
