West Ham United eye move for Leicester City left-back Luke Thomas
West Ham United are considering a move for Leicester City left-back Luke Thomas with the Foxes needing to offload players in order to bring in new additions according to The Guardian.
The Hammers are in the market for a new left-back and have tabled a bid for Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Filip Kostic according to The Sun.
The Guardian suggested on Friday 22 July, that the Hammers are considering a bid for the 21-year-old with Leicester potentially being open to sell if they receive a suitable offer.

Clever addition
A move for Thomas would be an astute piece of business by David Moyes and the club hierarchy with the Hammers looking to take advantage of Leicester’s need to sell.
The young left-back is entering the final two years of his current Leicester deal and would be an excellent long-term signing for Moyes to utilise.
Thomas has plenty of Premier League experience having played 61 times for Leicester after coming through the Foxes youth system.

If Moyes can secure a good value deal for the youngster then Thomas should be near the top of his list of left-backs at present.
West Ham are a left-back and a striker away from being in an excellent position heading into the 2022/23 Premier League season.
Thomas would be a more progressive addition than Kostic, who at 29 is only likely to decline in performance.
Furthermore, Thomas could prove to be an asset for the Hammers going forward with his performance likely to improve as he moves through his twenties.
