Niclas Fullkrug and Guido Rodriguez are set to complete their West Ham medical tests in the coming hours, according to Fabrizio Romano.

This could see the Germany and Argentina internationals become the Hammers’ fifth and sixth signing of the transfer window.

West Ham near to Niclas Fulkrug signing

It has been made clear that Julen Lopetegui wants to add a striker to his squad ahead of his debut campaign at the London Stadium.

This has seen links to Jhon Duran from Aston Villa come and go but now a deal for Fullkrug looks set to be completed.

The Borussia Dortmund star featured heavily in the run that saw the Yellow Wall travel to Wembley for the Champions League final.

Although his record at the tournament was positive, there may be some concern amongst Hammers fans due to his age and lack of Premier League experience.

The former Werder Bremen man will certainly add a physical presence to the front line under Lopetegui which could suit the style of play he employs.

With Fullkrug and Rodriguez both set to come in, it is clear that top-league experience is what the Hammers want to add to their squad this summer.
