West Ham United could take advantage as £25m Nayef Aguerd transfer update drops
West Ham United want over £25million to sell Nayef Aguerd to Real Sociedad, according to El Gol Digital.
The Spanish outlet reported via its website on Tuesday [12 November] that the Irons could take advantage of the absence of a buy option in Sociedad’s loan deal for the defender by demanding a fee in the region of £25-30million.
Aguerd has impressed on loan at the La Liga club so far, but the asking price is beyond their reach as things stand.
West Ham United could take advantage of Nayef Aguerd transfer
The Hammers signed Aguerd from Rennes for £30million in 2022 and it would be great if they could recoup at least £25million from his sale.
Julen Lopetegui’s side could bring the Morocco international back to the team after his loan, but they are not short of options in defence, having signed Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo – albeit on loan with an obligation to buy on certain conditions [Fabrizio Romano] – in the summer.
Therefore, it would make sense for the East London outfit to cash in on Aguerd while his value is high.

However, they should be wary of pricing Sociedad out of a deal for the central defender as the Spanish club are currently unable to meet their demands.
Otherwise, they should hope that some other club with the means to buy the Moroccan enters the fray soon.
Aguerd, for his part, appears to be enjoying his time in Spain.
