West Ham United could offer Emerson Palmieri in player-plus-cash deal for Carlos Augusto

West Ham United could offer Emerson Palmieri to Inter Milan as part of a player-plus-cash deal for Carlos Augusto, according to Inter Live.

The Itallian news outlet reported online (19 June) that the Hammers could offer Emerson and £16.8million to Inter for Augusto.

However, the Serie A side would likely reject this offer for the 25-year-old.

Emerson was a favourite of David Moyes at the London Stadium last season, starting 35 times in the Premier League and making a further appearance from the bench.

Will Julen Lopetegui get rid of Emerson Palmieri at West Ham United?

There was always bound to be plenty of changes at the London Stadium.

David Moyes enjoyed a long spell in charge of the Hammers and therefore built a team very much in his own image.

Lopetegui will have different ideas and ways of working and that could therefore mean a few players who were once first-team favourites find themselves on the outskirts in East London.

Or in Emerson’s case, it could mean being exiled from the club entirely.

Although Inter aren’t reportedly interested in this deal based on what is currently being offered, that doesn’t mean Emerson’s place at the London Stadium is secure.

Lopetegui is clearly open to moving the Brazillian on as he looks to mark his stamp on the West Ham team.

It has been a busy summer already with the arrival of Luis Guilherme as well as some goalkeeper dominoes.

And it looks as if there will be plenty of change yet.
