West Ham United could make move for Jordan Larsson this summer – ExWHUemployee

West Ham fans should keep an eye on the future of Jordan Larsson after he was released by Spartak Moscow, according to ExWHUemployee.

Larsson, the son of legendary former Celtic, Barcelona and Manchester United striker Henrik, has previously been linked with a move to the London Stadium in the past and David Moyes is known to be a fan of his.

But while Ex was clear that there has been no confirmation of interest this time around, it’s certainly a deal to keep an eye on, while writing on his Patreon account [June 28].

“Although there has been no official confirmation of any interest yet, it would be worth keeping an eye on Swedish forward Jordan Larsson,” he said.

“Jordan is the son of Swedish legend Henrik of Celtic, Barcelona and Manchester United fame. He has just been released by Spartak Moscow and is looking for a club. At 25 years of age he still has a lot of football ahead of him and was a target of the club, which we reported on our show, in the past.”

Interesting

West Ham are definitely in the market for a striker this summer, and it’s well known that Armando Broja is the number one target at this moment in time.

But Moyes has been known to be picky in the past and if a deal didn’t work out for him, then it’s possible that the club could move towards a stop-gap option to provide competition for Michail Antonio.

Larsson would be free and would have experience at a high level, while his wage demands are unlikely to be particularly high either.

Whether he is the quality required to really move forward to the next level that they’re aspiring to is another question, but it’s interesting to know that a former target is on the table and available.

It’s certainly a story to look forward at with a glancing eye, because we’ve seen how transfer windows have panned out in the past and it could provide a backup option later down the line.
