West Ham United bid on the table as ExWHUemployee drops Jhon Duran twist

West Ham are still in the running to sign Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran with his agents now desperate, according to ExWHUemployee.

The reliable news source for all things Hammers claimed on 3 August on his website that Duran’s agents want Villa to accept the offer which is on the table by the London club.

They’re also said to be concerned regarding the developments surrounding Niclas Fullkrug who’s closing in on a move to the London Stadium.

West Ham must target a potent goal-scoring option instead of Jhon Duran

The Hammers should be in search of a more potent goal scorer than Duran as they lack a striker with a clinical edge, a player who can consistently convert chances into goals.

Michail Antonio, a crucial player for the Hammers, is nearing the end of his career and has been struggling with injuries, necessitating the need for a reliable replacement.

Even with Fullkrug’s arrival, another striker is still needed for the Irons and that should ideally not be Duran.

There are several alternatives available in the market and Alexander Sorloth’s name stands out, someone who has been linked with a move to the London Stadium. [Corriere Dello Sport,17 July]

He could provide a more immediate impact and fit in perfectly to Julen Lopetegui’s plans and system for next season.

With him being a regular, Fullkrug could be an impact substitute off the bench and that’ll be better than signing Duran.

In other West Ham news, Arsenal and Newcastle have made late moves to hijack Spurs’ deal to secure the services of a Hammers player this summer.
