West Ham United believe they have ‘done deal’ for Carlos Soler transfer on Deadline Day

West Ham United and PSG consider they have a “done deal” for Carlos Soler to head to London, according to Marca.

The Spanish newspaper reported via their website on 30 August that Soler, 27, has agreed personal terms to join the Hammers on loan. All that remains is for the clubs to decide on a future permanent deal.

It is understood that the Spain midfielder will travel to London on Deadline Day to sign a contract with the Irons and complete his move to the Premier League after finding himself out of favour at PSG.

West Ham United close in on final summer transfer deal with Soler due in London

All in all, West Ham fans should be thrilled with how the summer transfer window has panned out.

While it remains to be seen how all the new recruits will get on – as well as manager Julen Lopetegui – the general feeling is that of a good one in East London.

Tim Steidten has managed to work well with Lopetegui with no rumours about discontent between the pair after there was regular speculation about the German and David Moyes having behind-the-scenes bust-ups.

Lopetegui is probably a lot more used to dealing with a technical director instead of being responsible for transfers himself, and this shows that so far, he has been a good appointment for the Hammers.

Time will now tell if the likes of Niklas Fullkrug, Crysencio Summerville, Max Killman, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Soler will be good signings for the Irons.

Some of them have proven themselves already, like Wan-Bissaka, who was tremendous against Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup.

Soler might not get his chance to shine until after the international break but as someone to add some depth to Lopetegui’s midfield options, he seems like a good signing.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers have told this attacker he has no future at the club and his contract could be terminated.
