West Ham United: Arthur Masuaku informed Besiktas loan contract likely to be terminated soon
Arthur Masuaku could return to West Ham sooner than expected with Besiktas threatening to terminate the left-back’s loan contract in Turkey, according to Fotomac.
The Turkish news outlet reported on Monday (13 February) that Besiktas are in talks with three different left-backs ahead of the Super Lig transfer window closing on 18 February.
It is understood that if the Istanbul club signs a new left-back before the winter transfer deadline on Saturday, Masuaku will be sent back to the London Stadium.

Fotomac claims Masuaku has been informed that he’ll be “dismissed” if a replacement is signed with Besiktas telling him to prepare himself for his loan to be terminated.
Brutal
Masuaku has over a year left on his contract at West Ham.
Besiktas do have the option to buy the former Olympiakos left-back on a permanent basis from the Irons but if they’re considering terminating this loan deal, the chances of that clause being triggered are low.
Masuaku has endured a tough few years and although he’s been a regular for Besiktas by playing 20 times in the Super Lig this season, he’s clearly struggled to perform well in those games.
He did score a winner in a 1-0 victory for his loan club against Adana Demirspor on 29 December but other than that, his time in Istanbul has been a series of lowlights.

Bestikas have a few days to sign a replacement for Masuaku, which would leave the DR Congo international in limbo at West Ham because it’s unclear whether or not he’d be able to be registered in the squad for the rest of the Premier League season.
We could do with all the hands – or feet – we can get to help see out the season, even if Masuaku hasn’t really been that great because someone is better than no one.
