West Ham United are hours away from finding out if Manor Solomon transfer is possible

West Ham United hold serious interest in Tottenham Hotspur winger Manor Solomon.

The Irons are short in wide options following Crysencsio Summerville's departure to Al Hilal.

Solomon was identified as a target but at the time, he was simply only on a shortlist.

However, it seems things are beginning to progress on that front with the Irons hoping to strike a deal.

Both West Ham and Tottenham have been involved in extensive talks this transfer window already, with Mateus Fernandes making the switch across London.

And Solomon could be next up on the agenda between the Irons and Lilywhites.

West Ham fans are still awaiting to land their first signing of the summer, and Solomon could be that.

According to Sky Sports journalist Luca Bendoni, West Ham are exploring a permanent move for Solomon this transfer window.

Those exploratory talks are set to reach a conclusion within the next 48 to 72 hours as the Hammers discover whether a deal is possible.

This follows after West Ham Zone relayed reports that Solomon wanted a permanent exit from Tottenham, with West Ham mooted as a destination.

The fact that an answer should arrive in the next three days is a positive as it will signal whether the Irons should move on to another target.

There is not long until the Championship season kicks off, and Solomon proved to be a Championship specialist in the past.

Who are West Ham's Solomon alternatives?

If a move for Solomon cannot come to pass in the next 72 hours, then the Hammers do have options to turn to.

West Ham hold interest in Stoke City's Sorba Thomas, who is also deployable off the left-wing like Solomon is.

Thomas excelled in the Championship last campaign securing double digits in both goals and assists.

Additionally, Morgan Whittaker has been linked to West Ham in recent days, although the Englishman is more so a right-sided forward.

Watford's Nestory Irankunda is also well liked at West Ham but as things stand, it seems that Sporting are currently leading that race.

Nonetheless, Solomon does appear to be the top target but there are certainly fall back plans for the E20 outfit.

And it won't be long until an answer on this potential deal does come through.
