West Ham United are enduring an absolutely torrid summer transfer window.

Last season's dismal relegation from the Premier League has hit the Hammers hard.

Mateus Fernandes was the first out the door, with rivals Tottenham Hotspur sealing his transfer in an £85million deal.

Crysencio Summerville then departed for a lucrative move to Al-Hilal in a move that would eventually be worth £65m.

It has been a difficult couple of months for the Hammers, and here West Ham Zone looks at the winners and losers of their transfer window so far.

Winner - George Earthy

George Earthy has spent plenty of time away on loan with Bristol City over the past seasons.

But there should be a great opportunity for the 21-year-old to nail down a first-team spot with what's been happening this summer.

Fernandes exit and the likely departure of Potts means there could be ample opportunity to stake a claim for more minutes under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Indeed, his knowledge of playing in the second tier could be pretty invaluable as the Hammers look to escape the Championship.

Winner - Max Kilman

Max Kilman has not always enjoyed the best of relationships with the West Ham faithful.

Signed for big money from Wolves during the forgettable days of the Julen Lopetegui era, Kilman's form has been patchy in an Irons shirt.

But with Axel Disasi's loan over, Jean-Clair Todibo likely to exit, and Konstantinos Mavropanos' future a litle uncertain, he has a chance to stand up and be counted.

Kilman needs to show he can lead by example to help the Hammers reverse their fortunes and get back into the top flight.

Loser - Jarrod Bowen

Captain Jarrod Bowen entrenched himself even more as a legend in the eyes of Hammers supporters when he confirmed he was staying put last month.

The England forward had been linked with a move away but opted to restructure his deal to help the club's fight to get back up.

However, you have to feel for him, because the Hammers have not yet been able to strengthen their squad and have had to sell some top talent.

You hope for the skipper's sake that West Ham can start making some strides in the transfer market soon.

Loser - Nuno Espirito Santo

The biggest loser of West Ham's transfer window so far is undoubtedly the gaffer.

Nuno is seeing some of his best talent cherry-picked elsewhere, and there has yet to be movement in terms of incomings.

The Portuguese has one Championship promotion on his CV with Wolves and is desperate to earn a second at the London Stadium.

To do that, he really could do with some additions coming through the door in the next few weeks.
