West Ham United agree to £1.8million sale of Arthur Masuaku to Besiktas
West Ham United have lowered their demands and agreed to sell Arthur Masuaku to Besiktas for a fee of £1.8million, according to Sabah.
The 29-year-old’s loan contract with the Turkish giants is set to turn permanent if he features against Trabzonspor on Sunday (16 April).
The transfer fee that West Ham were originally demanding for Masuaka’s services was £2million, that was expected to be paid in four instalments.

However, the Sabah report suggests that Besiktas asked for a £200,000 discount on the French defender before making the three-year deal permanent.
Masuaku has featured 25 times for the Turkish outfit so far this season, scoring two goals and recording an impressive four assists.

Time to move on
Although Masuaku has enjoyed a rich vein of form at Besiktas this season, his West Ham career has been dead and buried for quite some time.
The Frenchman never seemed to be to David Moyes’ liking at the London Stadium and his somewhat streaky performances divided opinions within the club’s fanbase.
However, after some strong form while on loan, it looks like a transfer to Besiktas is the best deal for all parties involved.
The sale will allow West Ham United to get the defender off the books and possibly free up some funds for an incoming transfer, while Masuaku himself can continue to play football week in and week out instead of being glued to the West Ham bench.
Although the Hammers originally wanted a £2million fee, a £200,000 difference wasn’t likely to get in the way of the transfer being finalised.
Masuaku is expected to play against Trabzonspor on Sunday and seal his move away from West Ham, almost eight years after joining the club.
