West Ham to make progress to seal Harvey Elliott transfer amid £50m twist
West Ham are not giving up on their pursuit of securing the services of Liverpool attacking midfielder Harvey Elliott this summer.
Graham Potter is keen on strengthening in multiple areas after a dismal 2024/25 Premier League season.
He replaced Julen Lopetegui mid-season, but failed to have a remarkable impact with the Hammers finishing close to the relegation zone.

West Ham in talks to seal a loan with an option to buy
According to the Daily Mail (25 July), the Reds value the 22-year-old at £50million for a permanent sale.
That valuation is not something West Ham can or are looking to pursue this summer.
However, they still want to sign him and are in talks with Liverpool over a loan with an option to buy.
Potter is keen on bringing the talented attacking midfielder to the London Stadium this summer and the Irons are doing what they can to make that happen.

Potter would love to sign a player like Elliott
Elliott’s arrival at West Ham would significantly enhance their style of play under Potter’s vision of dynamic, possession-based football.
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder, known for his creativity and versatility, brings a blend of technical finesse and work rate that aligns perfectly with the former Brighton boss’ system.

The Englishman’s ability to operate as a No. 10 or wide midfielder adds flair and goal threat to the Hammers’ attack.
His 88% pass accuracy and knack for progressive passes will complement Potter’s emphasis on fluid build-up play, unlocking defences alongside players like Jarrod Bowen.
Elliott’s high pressing and defensive contributions suit Potter’s high-intensity approach.
His youth and adaptability make him an ideal long-term fit for Potter’s squad, aiming to elevate London club into consistent European contenders.
