West Ham to finally close Axel Disasi signing as agreement done
West Ham United are all set to finalise the signing of Axel Disasi from Chelsea after a transfer agreement was reached elsewhere.
Liam Rosenior’s side have agreed to recall Mamadou Sarr from his loan spell at Strasbourg, which will allow Disasi to complete his switch to the London Stadium.
The Hammers have been crying out for a new centre-back over the last few months, and that was further highlighted in their 3-2 defeat to Chelsea on Saturday evening.
West Ham raced into a two-goal lead before capitulating in the second half, exposing their defensive issues, before Jean-Clair Todibo was also sent off.

West Ham have clear run to Axel Disasi loan deal
West Ham have been working hard to sign Disasi on loan from Chelsea in recent days, in the hope that it will improve their Premier League survival chances.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are currently six points adrift of safety and in real danger of relegation down to the Championship.
However, with Chelsea bringing Sarr back from Strasbourg, Disasi has seemingly been given the green light to join the Hammers until the end of the season.
Orazio Accomando of Sportsmediaset in Italy has reported that West Ham are set to “close” the loan signing of Disasi before the 7:00 pm deadline.
The 27-year-old was reportedly favouring a loan switch to AC Milan over West Ham, but the Italian giants have pulled out of the race.

Axel Disasi has massive chance at West Ham
Disasi was desperate for a move away from Chelsea in the summer, but his exit never materialised.
The French centre-back has therefore spent the last five months training away from the first-team squad, waiting for the January window to open.
Disasi is yet to make a single senior appearance this season, but a loan switch to West Ham provides him with the perfect opportunity to revitalise his career.
He has a fair amount of Premier League experience, having made 44 top-flight appearances across spells at Chelsea and Aston Villa, so he will provide some much-needed solidity to Nuno’s defence.
Given West Ham’s current form, Disasi has the chance to really stand out in the last few months of the season, and potentially even help the Hammers avoid relegation.
After links going back months, it’s good to finally get this one over the line.
