West Ham submit £21.5m bid for Suzuki, ‘irresistible offer’ to be accepted
West Ham have been linked with Zion Suzuki this summer in a bid to fix their goalkeeping issues.
The 22-year-old has impressed during his debut campaign at Parma, where he helped the Italian side stay in the Serie A.
As a result, the Japanese international has been linked with various moves this summer as he looks to make the next step in his career.
West Ham are reportedly considering a move for Suzuki, with the transfer saga now taking a significant turn.

West Ham’s £21.5m bid for Suzuki to be rejected
Graham Potter has been looking at multiple new keepers this summer, but has stepped up his interest in Suzuki.
According to Parma Live (5 July), West Ham have submitted a £21.5 million bid for the goalkeeper.
This comes as several Premier League teams show interest in the 22-year-old, including Manchester United and Chelsea.
However, this bid is unlikely to be accepted, with Parma needing an “irresistible offer” to part with the Japanese international.
Given the potential Suzuki has, it is no surprise that Parma are not willing to give the goalkeeper to West Ham without a fight.

Potter cannot be pulled into a bidding war for Suzuki
As good as Suzuki could prove to be at West Ham, Potter cannot afford to be dragged into a bidding war.
A new goalkeeper is vital at the London Stadium this summer to help end the Hammers’ defensive woes.

Therefore, if a bidding war does commence, there is a risk that West Ham will miss out on the 22-year-old and be stuck for the start of the Premier League season, or worse.
If Parma do end up rejecting the bid for Suzuki, it may be wise for Potter to move on to other targets quickly.
Hopefully, West Ham consider moving back in for Mads Hermansen, who has impressed at Leicester City in recent years.
