West Ham step up pursuit of ‘extraordinary’ striker Adam Hlozek
West Ham have stepped up their pursuit of Sparta Prague striker Adam Hlozek, according to 90min.
The 18-year-old is reportedly attracting interest from Juventus and Bayern Munich but could prefer a switch to East London as he is likely to get more game time with the Irons.
The prospect of European football also appeals to Hlozek, who shares the same agent as Thomas Soucek.
The midfielder, along with compatriot Vladimir Coufal, could potentially persuade the Czech Hlozek to join them at the London Stadium.
Per the report, Sparta Prague’s financial woes mean Hlozek’s value has dropped below €30million [£25.9million].
Exciting prospect
There is a lot to like about Hlozek and he is a young player who could really make a name for himself with West Ham.
Michail Antonio is our only striker and while we need to add an experienced goalscorer, an option like Hzolek would be ideal to David Moyes.
Pavel Paska, Hlozek and Soucek’s agent, described the attacker as an “extraordinary talent” with “power” and technical ability [IDNES].
He even suggested his client will be “world-class” and given he has already scored 18 goals and assisted 19 in 76 games, we can see why.
Hlozek has burst onto the scene at Sparta Prague and displayed his talent at such an early age.
Soucek and Coufal also impressed in the Czech league and continued their excellent form in West Ham colours – so the youngster could follow in their footsteps.
Hlozek may cost a big sum but as a striker who is only likely to get better we should move now before the likes of Juventus steal him away.
