West Ham sign all documents to complete new transfer, Fabrizio Romano says ‘here we go’

West Ham United and Flamengo are set to confirm a deal for Fabricio Bruno with documents now being signed, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The transfer specialist confirmed (28 May) that a verbal agreement was in place for the centre-back to move to the London Stadium.

The Hammers will pay a £10.2m fixed fee for Bruno with an additional £1.27m coming as add-ons in his contract.

Once all his paperwork is signed, he will become the first signing of the Julen Lopetegui era at West Ham.

West Ham set to confirm Fabricio Bruno

Tim Steidten has moved quickly in the transfer market to secure the first signing of the summer before the window is even open.

Bruno caught the eye when appearing for Brazil against England at Wembley and clearly impressed the Hammers hierarchy.

The Flamengo man will certainly add some squad depth to the squad under Julen Lopetegui in an area where reinforcement was needed.

Kurt Zouma has been a solid player ever since signing for the Hammers but a long-term partner for the Frenchman was needed.

Konstantinos Mavropanos had been that man for the majority of the campaign and may still be a starter moving into the new Premier League season.

Under David Moyes, West Ham conceded 74 in the league last campaign which isn’t good enough for a side striving towards European qualification.

It may take time for Bruno to come up to speed with football in England but if he is given that he could become an important asset for Lopetegui in his first season as head coach.

In other West Ham news, the club have tabled a £9.7million offer for an “unbelievable” attacker.
