West Ham show ambitious interest in signing Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus
West Ham have shown interest in a very ambitious signing of Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus as they look to strengthen their striker department, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian news outlet revealed via their website on Thursday (20 July) that West Ham and Aston Villa had made enquiries as to Vlahovic’s availability, while the striker also has interest from Paris Saint-Germain, although no real offer has been made for him yet.
In the report, it is also suggested that the Serbia striker, 23, will not be allowed to leave Turin this summer unless Juventus receive an offer they can’t refuse, or if a late sale is approved in August with the Italian giants needing to sell to buy fresh faces this summer.

A hugely ambitious target
If there was any chance that West Ham could being Dusan Vlahovic to the club, it should certainly be something they pursue. The giant Serbian forward has attracted interest from European superclubs PSG, Chelsea and Arsenal [Metro, 18 July] and his exit from Juventus certainly looks possible.
In somewhat of a reversal of the usual order in football, West Ham will be able to provide Vlahovic with European football next season, albeit the Europa League, while Juve have been expelled from UEFA competitions due to breaches of financial rules.

The striker would likely cost the Hammers an inflated price, having arrived at Juventus for £66.6million (Sky Sports) just a year ago, and the Italian side would want to at least break even on their main man.
The Italians’ need to sell could benefit West Ham. As much as they don’t want to see Vlahovic leave, the club may be forced to sell as they need outgoing players to raise money for incoming talent. Vlahovic and Federico Chiesa were mooted as possible names for an exit.
In other West Ham news, the club will not be forced to overpay as news on a midfield target emerges.
