West Ham ready ‘substantial’ bid for Daizen Maeda, he could quit Celtic
Daizen Maeda could join West Ham in the summer transfer window.
The Japanese star has notched 33 goals and 12 assists for Celtic this season in 49 matches across all competitions and that has alerted Graham Potter.
The former Brighton boss is looking for reinforcements to take the burden off the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus and the Hoops ace could fit the bill if a deal can be struck.

West Ham set for Maeda bid as Celtic doubts emerge
The London Stadium outfit needs to add goals if they are to progress under Potter and Maeda would be a great option.
A report from Caught Offside (11 May) claims that the Hammers are preparing a “substantial” bid for the 27-year-old’s services, with the Bhoys placing a £25million valuation on the attacker.
It states that the 23-cap international could have his head turned if a top-flight club presents a compelling proposal, with the likes of Fulham, Brentford, Crystal Palace and Leeds joining the Irons in their pursuit.

Maeda can lead Potter revolution at West Ham
Potter is set to lead a major overhaul in East London as he attempts to fix the rotten business that Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten oversaw last summer.
The likes of Luis Guilherme, Crysencio Summerville and Niclas Fullkrug have failed to impress since moving to the 2023 Europa Conference League winners.

The Scottish Premiership star would help the former Chelsea boss to implement a high-intensity pressing system with the Irons as he has a strong work rate and an abundance of pace at his disposal.
He would also help the Hammers to increase their attacking output as he has proved to be a reliable option in front of goal for Brendan Rodgers’ side, notching 62 goals and 28 assists in 156 appearances for the Glasgow giants.
Maeda’s versatility would be another major benefit for the Londoners, as he can feature centrally or from the left wing and contribute to the game.
Potter needs a great window if he is to survive in the dugout and if David Sullivan can secure a deal for the Celtic man ahead of their top-flight rivals, it would be a brilliant start.
