West Ham ‘ready quick Ndidi transfer’ after Man Utd discussions
West Ham will have more leeway in the summer market now that Mohammed Kudus has signed for Tottenham.
The Hammers bid farewell to Kudus this month after two seasons at the London club. The transfer saw him become the first player to move between Spurs and West Ham since Scott Parker in 2011.
As a result, West Ham have been on the hunt for another midfielder to improve their squad this summer and are set to join the race for Wilfred Ndidi.

West Ham could attempt to sign Ndidi amid Man United interest
West Ham were linked with Ndidi last year and are expected to act on their interest this summer.
As reported by Ben Jacobs via talkSPORT (21 July), Ndidi is the latest player on the radar for the number six position.
The Leicester midfielder has also been discussed by Manchester United, Everton, Real Betis, Juventus and Saudi Arabian clubs. It has been suggested that his transfer will be resolved quickly with several interested parties.
As a result, the Hammers will need to act fast if they want to secure his signature this summer.
Ndidi would be a good addition
Graham Potter will be set on improving his side’s performance in the Premier League next season. He replaced Julen Lopetegui in January and had his work cut out for him.
After a turbulent season, the Hammers finished 14th, just a single point above United.
During the 2024/25 season, the London club conceded 62 goals – the sixth most in the Premier League. This is a record that Ndidi could help to improve.
Premier League Club | Total Goals Conceded |
1. Southampton | 86 |
2. Ipswich Town | 82 |
3. Leicester City | 80 |
4. Wolves | 69 |
5. Tottenham | 65 |
6. West Ham | 62 |
The defensive midfielder is known for his strong tackling, accurate interceptions, and willingness to pacify opposition attacks. This would take the pressure off the West Ham defence, who were under far too much pressure last season.
Whether as a starter or coming off the bench, the Nigerian could offer the team greater defensive stability. He was also deployed in a more advanced role for Leicester City last season, which showcased his ability to contribute to attacking plays.
Therefore, given his proficiency in defence as well as attack, West Ham should accelerate their pursuit this summer.
