West Ham offered chance to sign ‘intelligent’ Man United star as transfer stance revealed
West Ham are already putting plans in place for the January transfer window.
Relegation is looking likely for West Ham this season, unless Nuno Espirito Santo can work the magic that he previously showcased at Nottingham Forest.
After nine games, the Hammers have picked up just four points, showcasing the need for them to strengthen in the winter window.
With that in mind, the Red Devils have handed West Ham a chance to sign an “intelligent” forward, who has showcased his pedigree in the past.

Joshua Zirkzee transfer could be on the cards
West Ham have been dreadful defensively this season, and things haven’t been much better going forward.
As a result, West Ham have been linked with a move to sign Joshua Zirkzee, who has failed to nail down his starting place under Ruben Amorim.
A report from Sacha Tavolieri states that West Ham have been offered the Dutch international, with Man United believed to be keen on offloading him this January.
Since moving to Old Trafford in 2024, Zirkzee has found the net on just seven occasions, having scored 12 in the previous season with Bologna.

At 24 years old, Zirkzee still has some years of development, and West Ham are reportedly keen on having that at the London Stadium.
Joshua Zirkzee has had praise at Man united
His move to Manchester has not gone anywhere near as well as many would have hoped, though the same could be said for just about everyone who made the move to Old Trafford over the last few seasons.
It’s been a toxic place to play football recently, and despite that, the Dutchman has actually emerged from his time there with some praise.
Zirkzee’s stats last season
- 40 appearances
- Seven goals
- Two assists
Despite a rough start, he retained his place in the Netherlands squad in 2024, where he registered a goal and an assist in their win against Bosnia, and former Dutch player Hans Kraay Jr was full of praise for his display.
As quoted by Voetbal Primeur, he said: “He passes it with just the right speed, allowing Reijnders to curl it inside his foot. Zirkzee is so intelligent.
“He not only passes it on the run, but he also passes it in such a way that it’s not too hard and ends up on Reijnders’ left foot. I love that.”
