West Ham ‘push Potter regular to exit door’ in shock transfer development

West Ham are set for a busy summer transfer window, but it could be a frustrating one for the fans to endure.

Graham Potter’s side have endured a miserable season as they sit in 17th place in the Premier League, and are set to miss out on European football.

The season started badly under Julen Lopetegui and continued to disappoint under Potter, and serious changes are needed in the squad.

West Ham may be under financial pressure this summer, and this could mean that they sell a popular player despite fan uproar.

West Ham push Mohammed Kudus into Saudi Arabia move

Mohammed Kudus is a popular player at West Ham, and has attracted interest from a number of clubs.

Arsenal are among the teams linked with a move for the Ghanaian attacker, and West Ham’s current financial situation means that they may be forced into a sale.

However, it appears that West Ham would prefer to sell their £40million signing abroad rather than within the Premier League, with the Saudi Pro League an option.

TBR Football (15 April) have now reported that West Ham are ready to sell Kudus, but that they are “pushing” him to go to the Saudi League rather than Arsenal or Liverpool.

Kudus could be edging towards West Ham exit

Despite Kudus’ talent, and the fact he is a regular under Potter, he has had an inconsistent season and has scored just three times in the Premier League.

West Ham sold Declan Rice to Arsenal in 2023, and fans did not respond well to the captain moving to a London rival.

The Hammers may be keen to avoid future embarrassment with a key player joining a side in the same league, and Saudi Pro League clubs may be able to offer a higher transfer fee than the likes of Arsenal.

It is unclear what Kudus’ preference is, but given West Ham’s need for a striker, a big-money sale of the attacker would make sense for all parties.

Jarrod Bowen has also been linked with a move, but as a fan favourite the Hammers are much better off selling Kudus instead.
