West Ham near £19m+ Diouf deal completion as medical details emerge

West Ham are edging closer to the signing of El Hadji Malick Diouf.

The Hammers fans can finally celebrate as a new addition looks set to finally come through the doors at the London Stadium.

A move for the Senegal international appears to be edging closer as an agreement looks to have been reached with Slavia Prague.

Now, details have emerged ahead of the left-back’s medical ahead of a link-up with Graham Potter’s side in East London.

Diouf set to undergo West Ham medical

There has been no shortage of frustration among supporters in E20 as the lack of business began to concern those associated with the claret and blue outfit.

This has seen links to the likes of Angel Gomes come and go this summer, but it now finally appears as if a deal is going to get done.

Reports have emerged suggesting that a full agreement has now been reached between West Ham and Slavia Prague ahead of a transfer for Diouf [Foot Mercato, 13 July].

Now fresh details have emerged from Daily Mirror writer Ryan Taylor (13 July), who has reported that the Irons will pay £19million plus £3.45m for the 20-year-old.

This has been added to by the update that plans are being drawn up for the defender to undergo medical tests in London within the coming days.

All being well, the E20 club could announce a deal for the Senegalese youngster by the end of next week and rid their transfer hoo doo.

With that being said, there are no guarantees with the medical, so any excitement will remain on ice until a deal is fully agreed.

It is fair to say that David Sullivan has come under high levels of pressure this summer, with this deal potentially set to lessen these complaints.

This sort of deal was certainly needed in the squad after the departure of Aaron Cresswell at the end of his contract in East London.

It will certainly be interesting to see how Diouf adapts to the Premier League and whether the Irons can secure yet another bargain from Slavia Prague.
