West Ham United ‘make Luis Guilherme exit decision’ after multiple bids
West Ham United have opted to keep Luis Guilherme at the London Stadium for the remainder of the season despite receiving multiple bids, according to Sean Whetstone.
Whetstone reported via the West Ham Football X account (4 February) that Guilherme will be staying with the Irons, despite FC Porto registering an interest in his services [Voetbal].
The Brazilian has been on the fringes at the London Stadium, and with the Portuguese transfer window still open, a move abroad had been mooted.
With Crysencio Summerville sidelined for eight weeks, the Hammers were not willing to part ways with another attacking option.
Luis Guilherme set for West Ham redemption
While the injury to Summerville is a net loss for the Hammers, it can be seen as a small positive for Guilherme who will now likely have the chance to showcase his true ability under Graham Potter.
On the odd occasion he has featured, signs of promise have been present but that occasion has not come merely enough, with the forward having made just six Premier League appearances all season.
Now is the perfect opportunity for him to stake his claim for a place at the London Stadium, although it may be his final opportunity.

There is every possibility that the Hammers would have sanctioned his exit if it were not for the injury to Summerville, and he may have to thank his lucky stars for the emergence of a second chance.
With a home encounter with Brentford approaching, Guilherme can kickstart his redemption arc with the Irons and showcase his value to Potter.
