West Ham line up imminent Gaeten Laborde bid
West Ham are set to make a bid for Montpellier striker Gaeten Laborde within days, according to French news outlet Midi Libre.
It is claimed that West Ham, who were interested in the 27-year-old during the January transfer window, are preparing to make an offer for him early next week.
Sevilla are also in the hunt for the French forward who scored 16 goals and registered eight assists in Ligue 1 last season. Montpellier president Laurent Nicollin has said Laborde “will leave” if he demands a transfer and an appropriate offer is tabled.

Sort it soon
With just ten days until transfer deadline day, we’re beginning to get desperate and pretty much anyone with a decent goalscoring record will do.
That’s not to dampen expectations on Laborde.
He enjoyed a sensational 2020/21 campaign with Montpellier as they finished 7th in Ligue 1 last season.
As well as being prolific in front of goal he was also a great supply of chances for his teammates as he set up eight goals in the league.
That sounds rather like Michail Antonio, the Irons forward who scored ten and set up five in the Premier League last season.

As such, perhaps Laborde is the ideal deputy or sidekick for the 31-year-old.
It could be difficult to sign him ahead of Champions League outfit Sevilla, but they reportedly need to sell before they can buy so we could beat them to the post if we hurry events along.
Signing a striker is absolutely vital to ensure we are not left with just Antonio again.
