West Ham have agreement in place to sign player Barcelona president Joan Laporta has previously raved about
West Ham United are close to completing the signing of Fulham winger Adama Traore in the winter transfer window.
The 29-year-old joined Fulham in 2023 on a free transfer after leaving Wolves, and could now be on his way out of Craven Cottage.
Adama has agreed personal terms at the London Stadium, and could be the first addition through the door at the Hammers.
Nuno Espirito Santo is fighting Premier League relegation, and the 29-year-old forward may be what the Irons need to turn things around in E20.

Joan Laporta wanted Adama Traore permanently at Barcelona
In January 2022, Adama completed a dream return on loan to Barcelona and played a key role for them during their financial troubles.
In 17 appearances in LaLiga and the Europa League, the Spain international provided four assists playing under Xavi.
While the winger isn’t the most clinical in front of goal, his physicality, pace, dribbling and ability to put a cross in impressed the Blaugrana’s hierarchy.
Speaking to RAC1 in March 2022, Barcelona president Joan Laporta said, “I think a swap deal with Wolves between Francisco Trincao and Adama could be a very good option. We’re really happy with Adama and his impact, attitude and performances.”
Adama thrived under Nuno at Wolves, and it looks like a reunion is on the cards at the East London outfit.
However, with no real target man at the Hammers, it remains to be seen how the Portuguese manager will utilise the pacy winger.
Niclas Fullkrug to be followed out of West Ham by another forward
Callum Marshall could leave West Ham on loan in January, with VfL Bochum among the teams interested in the Northern Ireland international, who’s also wanted by some domestic clubs.
Niclas Fullkrug looks set to leave the Hammers for AC Milan, leaving Callum Wilson as the only natural option in the number nine position.
If the Irons add Adama to their squad, it would make sense for them to sign a striker capable of getting on the end of the Spanish forward’s crosses.
Getting recruitment right will definitely be key to avoiding Premier League relegation at the London Stadium.
