West Ham handed boost in pursuit of Andrea Belotti
West Ham have been given a big lift in their pursuit of Andrea Belotti, with Torino chairman Urbano Cairo seemingly certain that the striker is leaving.
As relayed by SportWitness, TuttoMercatoWeb report that the Irons are one of a number of clubs looking at the 28-year-old Italian, with Nice, Newcastle and Toronto also in the race for his signature.
Cairo spoke to the outlet coming out of a meeting saying the forward may have even already signed with another club, with his contract set to expire in the summer.
“He may have already signed with someone,” he told reporters (14th April).
“Let’s say that from 1 February he was free to sign, theoretically he could also have done so … I no longer talk about this issue”.
Great Steal
If Belotti is available on a free and wants to sign, this deal seems like a no-brainer for the club.
Cairo said he no longer wants to talk about the issue suggesting the forward is essentially gone in the summer, and he offers the competition for places that the club desperately needs.
He’s been a regular goalscorer in Serie A now for a number of seasons with a side who more often than not finish mid-table, and the lure of regular European football for a club in the Premier League surely puts West Ham high on his list of destinations.

David Moyes and his side need more firepower after not really replacing Sebastien Haller, and Belotti could offer great value in the market as the Irons look to regularly compete with their wealthier Premier League counterparts.
Winning the Europa League would only increase their selling point to the Italian and if he is willing to come in, he looks like a snip which the Hammers can’t really afford to miss.
