West Ham go left-field as price set for Flaco Lopez transfer
Nuno Espirito Santo has learned what it will take to bring Flaco Lopez to the London Stadium as West Ham are linked with another striker.
West Ham are predicted to suffer Premier League relegation this season, and as such, face a vitally important January transfer window ahead.
West Ham fell to a 3-0 defeat away at Manchester City last time out, and albeit against a title contender, it was an afternoon that further exposed some major shortcomings in their ranks.
With West Ham now five points adrift of safety, fan unrest towards the boardroom and David Sullivan in particular only continues to ramp up.

West Ham set sights on South American striker
Signing a new centre-forward looks to be a key priority for West Ham this winter.
Wolves’ Jorgen Strand Larsen has been linked with a move to West Ham, but a new report from Brazil has put a new name in the frame.
As per Somos Fanaticos, Palmeiras striker Flaco Lopez is on West Ham’s radar.
No official offer is said to have been made by West Ham for the 25-year-old at this stage, but it’s understood that Palmeiras value him at €30million, which is around £26m pounds.
Fulham are also reported to have a long-standing interest in the Argentina international, and so there could potentially be competition for his signature if West Ham do indeed want him in January.

Here’s why Flaco Lopez could be a superb signing for West Ham
It’s no secret that West Ham are in desperate need of an out-and-out goalscorer to lead the line.
Jarrod Bowen is currently the Hammers’ top scorer with five, and if Nuno’s side are going to survive the drop, bolstering their firepower in January is essential.
Lopez would certainly appear to do exactly that for West Ham, and looks like he could finally be the number nine they’ve been needing for a number of years.
- Lopez has played a remarkable 125 games in all competitions over the last two seasons
- He’s combined for 47 goals in that time
- Lopez registered a 0.54 goals per 90 in Brazil’s top flight in 2025
He finished as the 2025 Copa Libertadores top scorer with seven goals in 12 appearances, and also hit 12 goals in 33 league games.
In total, Lopez found the net 25 times for Palmeiras in 2025, which was an improvement on his 22-goal haul from 2024, which saw him finish as top scorer in the division.
At 25, he’s very much coming into the prime of his career, and may very well have some improvement still to make, meaning he could well be a very exciting signing for West Ham if they can pull it off.
One that might just keep the Hammers in the Premier League.
