West Ham given fresh turning point for Adama Traore transfer amid telling Fulham latest
West Ham are facing a serious stumbling block in the way of a potential transfer for Fulham’s Adama Traore.
Nuno Espirito Santo is keen on a reunion with Traore after their successful time together at Wolves.
West Ham need extra quality in attack, and given Jarrod Bowen’s ability to play as a striker, Nuno may see Traore as an option at right wing.
Since the Spaniard joined Fulham, Traore hasn’t seen much game time for the Cottagers, but that could be about to change.

Harry Wilson came off with knee problem for Fulham
West Ham are fighting for survival in the Premier League, and wins have been hard to come by at the London Stadium this season.
Nuno has won just two matches in the league for the Hammers, but a main reason for that is due to a lack of firepower at the head coach’s disposal.
If Traore were to become a Hammer in January, he would certainly add something new to Nuno’s forward line.
Adama Traore’s stats for Wolves during the 2019-20 season under Nuno:
- Games: 54
- Goals: 6
- Assists: 11
Fulham beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 on Monday at Craven Cottage, with Traore starting on Marco Silva’s bench.
However, the Fulham boss was forced into a late change after Harry Wilson injured himself when trying to win the ball back from Nico Williams.
Wilson tried to continue playing but was seen holding his knee in pain as he was substituted minutes later, and guess who his replacement was? Traore.

What has Marco Silva said on Wilson’s injury?
Knee injuries are always the most worrying types of problems that players can get, and it’s a big blow for Fulham, as Wilson has been in fine form of late.
But it’s possibly even more of a trouble for West Ham, because it means that Fulham may now be more inclined to keep Traore, who is Wilson’s natural replacement, as seen on Monday.
Fulham boss Silva said after the match, as quoted by West London Sport: “Wilson looks like he’s going to be okay”.
However, given the rough nature of the winter period, the Cottagers will surely need to keep hold of Traore, just in case.
If anything, it’s a wake-up call for Fulham in that squad rotation is going to be needed over the next few weeks, which may not help the Hammers in their pursuit of Traore.
