West Ham get early Jorgen Strand Larsen boost as Wolves ready striker transfer agreement

West Ham are plotting a January move for Jorgen Strand Larsen as they look to raid relegation rivals Wolves at the start of 2026.

West Ham are preparing to take on Fulham in a London derby in the Premier League on Saturday, desperately needing three points.

Nuno Espirito Santo is under significant pressure at the London Stadium, with his side currently sitting in 18th and five points adrift of safety.

West Ham are heading towards one of their most important January transfer windows in many years, one which could determine the outcome of their survival battle.

West Ham in possible Jorgen Strand Larsen transfer boost

One area of need that is no secret for West Ham in January is in attack, and more specifically, at striker.

Nuno’s men have only scored 19 goals in the league so far this season, which is one of the lowest in the division, as Jarrod Bowen tops the scoring charts with five.

Wolves star Strand Larsen has been heavily linked with West Ham in recent days, and could be exactly the kind of player required to fire them to safety, despite his struggles at Molineux.

And they might just have been handed a major boost to their prospects of signing the Norwegian centre-forward.

Ben Jacobs has reported that Wolves are looking into a potential January swoop for Nashville star Sam Surridge, who has previously played in England with Nottingham Forest, Stoke, Bournemouth and Swansea.

Now 27, Surridge has just banked the season of his career so far in MLS, with 31 goals in 40 total appearances, which has firmly put him back on the radar of clubs on these shores.

West Ham should feel confident Strand Larsen can get back to his best at London Stadium

With just one goal in 15 Premier League appearances to his name this season, Strand Larsen is having a down year.

However, he’s also playing for what may well go down as the worst team in Premier League history points-wise when the season is over.

Larsen proved that he’s a quality goalscorer at top flight level at Molineux last season, with 14 goals as well as four assists from 35 league outings.

That sort of ability doesn’t just evaporate overnight, and with some better service around him, Larsen would surely have a far better chance of putting his best foot forward with the Hammers than in his current situation.
