West Ham fans to strap themselves in as exciting transfer update drops ahead of deadline day
West Ham United could yet be in for an exciting conclusion to the winter transfer window if a new update is anything to go by.
The Hammers have been among the more active sides in the Premier League ahead of the window closing at 7pm on Monday.
Pablo, Taty Castellanos and Adama Traore have been added to Nuno Espirito Santo’s attack, but the need for a new defender at the London Stadium is more apparent than ever.
Axel Disasi remains on West Ham’s transfer radar, as does a new goalkeeper to replace exit-bound Mads Hermansen.
And it looks as though West Ham‘s business will go right down to the wire if the East London club get their way.

West Ham pushing hard for late-window deals
As well as bringing in a few new players, West Ham have also used this window to offload the likes of James Ward-Prowse, Niclas Fullkrug and Luis Guilherme – whether on loan or permanently.
The headline departure, of course, was Lucas Paqueta’s £35.8million exit to Flamengo back in Brazil.
Heading into deadline day, a new defender quite simply has to be the top priority for West Ham chiefs.
And in a report by Hammers News on Sunday, a spokesman is quoted as saying “we are trying like mad” to sign a player on Monday.
That can only be considered a positive for United, who know that the next 24 hours or so could determine whether the Hammers stay up or go down.

That may sound slightly dramatic, but on the basis of the 3-2 loss to Chelsea on Sunday, West Ham will not beat the drop if they fail to strengthen at the back.
If not Axel Disasi, then who next for West Ham?
Disasi is clearly someone West Ham fancy, but the Chelsea ace has also been linked with an array of other sides.
However, there does appear to be some movement in terms of bringing in a defender of some sort.
It was reported elsewhere on Sunday that a loan-to-buy proposal has been lodged to sign Natan from Real Betis, while bids have been tabled – and knocked back – for Southampton’s Taylor Harwood-Bellis.
Hull City defender John Egan has also been mentioned, although that is a link that will unlikely get supporters too excited.
Either way, Hammers chiefs need to stay good to their word and ensure a new defender is signed before 7pm on deadline day.
