West Ham eye swoop for Timo Werner as £8.5m transfer update emerges at Tottenham
West Ham could look to bring Timo Werner to the London Stadium from Tottenham in the summer.
The Hammers have had a poor season in front of goal, which has summed up their troubles throughout the Premier League campaign.
If it wasn’t for Jarrod Bowen, the Irons could be in relegation trouble, with the England international the only player to net 10 goals in claret and blue.
This could see Graham Potter eye fresh options in the upcoming window, with Tottenham forward Timo Werner representing a potential option.

West Ham alerted to Werner summer transfer
There is no doubt that new blood would make sense for this Irons side after such a drab campaign in the Premier League.
After such high expectations from the business of last summer, everything has gone downhill, with apparent quality signings struggling.
Niclas Fullkrug appeared to be an ideal signing to many, but with his lack of goals and consistent injury issues, he has had little to no impact in E20.
This could see a new option for Werner be eyed at the London Stadium despite a difficult campaign of his own in North London.

TalkSPORT have reported (6 May) that Tottenham don’t want to activate their £8.5million option to make their loan permanent for the German.
Given that the 29-year-old is settled in London after multiple years in the capital, the Hammers are on alert and could make their move in the summer.

Werner could be positive addition from Tottenham
There is no doubt that new forwards will be on the agenda at the London Stadium in the summer, especially if Mohammed Kudus leaves.
The Ghana international could be on his way out and leave a gap in the forward line and the attacking midfield role in Potter’s squad.
This could be replaced by Werner, given his versatility to play on either flank or as a striker alongside someone like Fullkrug.
This could represent a useful addition on a cheap deal for the Hammers, especially if RB Leipzig want to part ways with the former Chelsea man in the summer.
