West Ham expect imminent Niclas Fullkrug exit agreement after offer received
West Ham are now expecting to conclude a deal to send Niclas Fullkrug to AC Milan quickly.
Fullkrug is deemed one of former technical director Tim Steidten’s worst mistakes at West Ham and the club are looking to move him on in the January window.
Milan have sent a loan offer as the German’s salary has complicated the possibility of a permanent exit mid-season, and Fullkrug has already agreed personal terms with the Serie A side.
Nuno Espirito Santo is looking to sign a new striker in January in his place, with West Ham linked to the likes of Josh Sargent, Ivan Toney and Moise Kean.

AC Milan ahead of Roma to sign Fullkrug
According to Bild West Ham expect to reach an agreement with Milan soon now that their bid has arrived.
Fullkrug wants to leave as he doesn’t see his future in London and is looking to go to the World Cup with Germany in the summer.
A return to the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg for the former Borussia Dortmund man is thought to be off the table.
Roma have reportedly also shown an interest in the 32-year-old, but AC Milan have made concrete moves and the Irons expect to seal a move in the near future.
Fullkrug joins list of failed big-money West Ham strikers
The Hammers’ record when it comes to spending big (or small) on strikers over the years is poor, and Fullkrug’s career at the London Stadium is just the latest example.
Sebastien Haller and Gianluca Scamacca are two of the most expensive failed attempts to find a long-term solution at the position but Fullkrug isn’t far behind.
It’s a great shame that it didn’t work out for him, with injuries and the general malaise that has settled over everything in claret and blue since he got here his apparent downfall.
His infamous furious tirade after the draw with Southampton last season suggested he had the temperament to whip a struggling outfit into shape under, or perhaps in spite of, Graham Potter, but that all seems a long time ago now.
That forthright outlook, and his physical style, seemed to make the logic of going for a player in his 30s reasonable, but the fitness record in East London appears to have proven those who doubted the wisdom of spending £27 million on a then-31-year-old right.
Assuming the AC Milan move is sealed it will be less than a year since that point against last-season’s worst club, and neither the player or the manager will be at West Ham, in a sign of how the Irons are cycling through personnel at such a rate these days yet getting no better for it.
