West Ham edge closer to permanent Jesse Lingard deal in stunning turn of events
West Ham are remarkably closing in on a deal to sign Jesse Lingard on a permanent basis from Manchester United, according to Claret & Hugh.
Most fans had given up on the idea of the 28-year-old returning to the London Stadium after a successful loan spell here in the second half of last season.
ExWHUemployee reported in mid-June that Lingard was more than likely going to stay at Man United with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer set to offer him a new contract at Old Trafford.

However, Claret & Hugh now suggests a massive U-turn is on the cards due to the fact David Moyes has signed a three-year deal at West Ham and that Man United are set to land Jadon Sancho to push Lingard further down Solksjaer’s pecking order.
The Hammers news website reports “opening talks” have been held between Lingard and the Man United boss with the England international set to consider his options.
C&H adds: “Sources close to the 28-year-old believe that he sees his game time chances as being reduced at Old Trafford after a barren season before joining the Irons last term.”

Wow
After what was reported almost a month ago, we didn’t see this coming in regards to Lingard.
It would be incredible if Moyes managed to re-sign the attacking midfielder, who shone so brightly while on loan in the East End in the second half of last season.
Lingard played a huge role in helping us qualify for the Europa League and it would be a shame if he is not part of our European campaign in the upcoming season.
At Man United, he’s been overlooked and overlooked. Why does he think it would be any different after a good half-season spell at West Ham?
Let’s face it, Lingard would be a star player for us whereas at Old Trafford he’d be lucky to be a bench-warmer with the Red Devils set to spend so much on landing Sancho from Dortmund.
Lingard, for the sake of his career, should quit them and join us.
It makes perfect sense.
In other West Ham news, the Irons are close to hiring this ex-Norwich player in a huge behind-the-scenes move.
