West Ham and Sunderland locked in talks over Simon Adingra deal - here's the terms they're discussing

West Ham United are once again pushing to sign Sunderland winger Simon Adringra.

The Hammers are desperate to add attacking reinforcements to their squad before the end of the transfer window.

West Ham's relegation from the Premier League has had a costly effect on their squad this summer.

Mateus Fernandes has joined Tottenham Hotspur in an £85million deal and Crysencio Summerville has left for Al-Hilal in a lucrative deal.

Nuno Espirito Santo now wants to focus on incomings to the London Stadium and Adingra's is name that keeps cropping up during the window.

Now, it looks as though the Hammers are in fresh talks with the Black Cats over a deal to bring him to East London.

What are West Ham discussing with Sunderland about Adingra?

The Hammers have been regularly linked with a move for former Brighton man Adingra

The 25-year-old only move to the Stadium of Light last summer, penning a five-year contract with the Black Cats.

However, he failed to nail down a regular first-team spot with Sunderland and was shipped out on loan to Monaco for the second half of last season.

Now back on Wearside, Adingra seemingly is still out of favour and West Ham are trying to bring him to the club.

According to Sky Sports journalist Keith Downie, West Ham have made a loan enquiry to Sunderland.

The two clubs are now locked in discussions over the enquiry for Adingra.

Who else have West Ham been linked to?

West Ham really need to focus on bringing players in the door now, having seen some big names depart.

West Ham are said to be interested in signing Troy Parrott from AZ Alkmaar, though could have to pay upwards of £20million to seal the Republic of Ireland international.

Adingra's team-mate Wilson Isidor has also been linked, but Sunderland are said to be reluctant to agree to his exit this summer.

Tottenham winger Manor Solomon and Celtic's attacking midfielder Arne Engels are also said to be on West Ham's radar this summer.

One thing is for sure, if West Ham are to secure a return to the Premier League at the first time of asking then reinforcements are needed.

Time is running out to get all their business done before the start of the Championship season.

But the window does not close until 1 September, so there is still time to get bodies in the building at Rush Green.
