West Ham agree another exit as player overlooked by Nuno heads to Bristol City
West Ham United have had an incredibly busy start to the transfer window as they look to avoid Premier League relegation.
Nuno Espirito Santo is under sack pressure at the London Stadium, but the Hammers have still backed the Portuguese boss in the transfer market.
West Ham have already signed Pablo Felipe from Gil Vicente and Taty Castellanos from Lazio in January, spending around £45million in total on the pair.
Luis Guilherme, Niclas Fullkrug, and Callum Marshall have all departed though, the latter two on loan, with another exit now expected in the coming days.
George Earthy set for Bristol City loan
George Earthy spent the whole of last season on loan at Bristol City, as he continued his development away from East London.
The 21-year-old had a successful spell at Ashton Gate, scoring three goals and picking up one assist in 39 Championship appearances.
Earthy returned to West Ham over the summer, but has played just nine minutes of Premier League football all season.
According to ExWHUEmployee, the midfielder now looks set to return to Bristol City for the second half of the campaign.
It will be a straight loan deal with no option or obligation to buy, as Earthy’s West Ham contract expires this summer.
Why George Earthy will be fuming at Nuno Espirito Santo
Earthy has been tipped for big things at West Ham, but Nuno has given him just one substitute appearance this season.
Youngsters often have to bide their time, but with the poor run of form the Hammers have been on, the 21-year-old will be questioning why he hasn’t been given a proper chance.
With his contract at West Ham coming to an end, it would be no surprise to see Earthy depart permanently in the summer.
The Englishman has lost six months of his career under Graham Potter and Nuno, and will hope to get back on track at Bristol City.
