Wan-Bissaka in London as formal West Ham United signing process begins – Fabrizio Romano
Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is now in London to undergo a medical with West Ham United, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Writing via his personal X account on Sunday (11 August), Romano reported that the “formal process has just started” for Wan-Bissaka, 26, to complete his move to the London Stadium.
It is understood that later on Sunday he will sign a five-year contract to officially become a Hammers player.
Will West Ham sign anyone else after Wan-Bissaka?
West Ham fans have got to hold their hands up and say that this has been an incredible summer transfer window for their club.
While the appointment of Julen Lopetegui did divide opinion among the fanbase, the work that he and Tim Steidten have done since has been phenomenal.
Not only have they kept hold of players like Jarrod Bowen, Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta, but they have also brought in a wealth of quality players who are both young and experienced.
Luis Guilherme, Wes Foderingham, Max Kilman, Crysencio Summerville, Niclas Fullkrug, Guido Rodriguez and Jean-Clair Todibo have all come in and once Wan-Bissaka does, Lopetegui will have added a player in pretty much every single position.
It’s really impressive work, especially considering that the only exits have been for Said Benrahma, Flynn Downes, Nathan Trott and Thilo Kehrer. There could be some more exits but we doubt anyone major will go.
We hope that all these quality signings can click together in the coming weeks and start the new Premier League season with a bang because there’s no doubt that there’ll be high expectations on Lopetegui now from both the fans and the board.
In other West Ham news, another Ligue 1 side are reportedly set to match the Hammers’ bid for one centre-back transfer.
