View: Patson Daka Twitter activity hints at Premier League move – West Ham want to sign him
West Ham-linked Patson Daka has recently retweeted a transfer story that states he will be moving to Chelsea this summer.
Recently, reliable insider source ExWHUEmployee reported that the Hammers were keen on the RB Salzburg forward who’s bagged 34 goals in all competitions this season.
However, he mentioned that West Ham were not the only side interested in his services, most notably Liverpool who are also looking to sign a forward in the transfer window.
Now, a new twist has been added to the tale, with Chelsea emerging suitors. An unknown Twitter account @josh035 said that the Blues have won the race for Daka ahead of Liverpool and West Ham.
While this normally wouldn’t consume the news cycle, the fact that makes it so interesting is that Daka, from his official Twitter handle, retweeted Joshua Sichinga’s tweet.
Reading too much into it?
Maybe Daka’s intent to share the tweet was the comparison with Didier Drogba, but it’s surprising that he kept it for that long before the tweet itself was taken down.
The screenshot above was shared on Twitter and West Ham fans were disappointed that they may have lost out on a target.
This has certainly added to the intrigue surrounding the Daka chase and we’re eagerly waiting for the next update.
He would undoubtedly bolster our attacking ranks and while he may not be a nailed-on starter at Chelsea and Liverpool, he is certainly going to be on at the London Stadium.
The coming few weeks will test the player’s resolve. We appeared to be in the driver’s seat for his services, but he could have his heart set on moving to a Champions League side.
No reliable sources have commented on this update just yet, so we’re crossing our fingers that there’s no more to this.
