TNT Sports presenter wowed by 'special' Mohammed Kudus on full West Ham United debut

Becky Ives was wowed by Mohammed Kudus in his full debut for West Ham in the victory over Backa Topola in the Europa League on Thursday (21 September).

The TNT Sports presenter tweeted on Thursday that the Hammers have got a “special” player after the Ghanaian international scored his first goal for the club in the 3-1 win over the Serbian side.

She added that the 23-year-old forward was “hugely impressive” after adding goals to his game already and predicted him to “thrive” at the London Stadium after making the move from Ajax over the summer.

“West Ham have got themselves a special one,” she said. “Hugely impressive display tonight. Goals added to his game already. Watch him thrive.”

Promising

The performance of Kudus was very promising as he scored his first goal for West Ham on his full debut, having previously made two cameos off the bench.

The Irons spent a reasonable amount of money to bring him in from the Dutch side, where he built up a big reputation for himself.

But the early signs have been extremely encouraging that he will be worth that investment on the back of his lively display on Thursday.

The Ghanaian started brightly before fading a little as the first half went on, but he quickly got back into it in the second half and looked dangerous coming in off the right, while also showing he is a threat in the air.

He will now be looking to nail down a regular place in the starting lineup and the Hammers fans will be hoping he can continue to impress over the next few weeks.

In other West Ham news, the club have received a multi-million financial windfall without kicking a ball.
