Tammy Abraham left out of Chelsea squad amid West Ham speculation
West Ham target Tammy Abraham found himself axed from the Chelsea squad on Saturday as Thomas Tuchel’s side beat Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals.
Sky Sports reported via their live transfer blog [Saturday, 1:10pm] that the 23-year-old’s future at Stamford Bridge “looks increasingly uncertain” after being left out of the massive game at Wembley.
West Ham are strongly linked with a summer move for Abraham with ExWHUemployee, speaking on the West Ham Way podcast, reporting the Chelsea hitman has been made the Hammers’ top target ahead. Claret & Hugh have recently echoed that.
Abraham a no-brainer
It’s fairly obvious that we need a new centre-forward in the summer transfer window.
David Moyes hasn’t had an issue in getting his team to score goals this season but there’s no denying it will be a lot easier if injury-prone Michail Antonio isn’t the only option up front.
Abraham is an out-and-out striker with huge Premier League experience.
He’s netted 26 times in 87 Premier League appearances even though he hasn’t asserted himself as an out-and-out starter for Chelsea.
Even though he’s struggled for game-time this season, the former Aston Villa and Swansea loan star has still managed 12 goals and six assists in 18 starts across all competitions.
Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, ex-Irons striker Frank McAvennie has backed the England international to make a move to the London Stadium. Alex McLeish, speaking to Football Insider, has described the Chelsea outcast as “phenomenal”.
Abraham is a must buy this summer, in our opinion. He’s young, he’s proven, he’s English and he’s bound to be available after being left out of one of Chelsea’s biggest games of the season.
In other West Ham news, this “massive talent” could be offered to the Irons.
