Sky Sports shares Jesse Lingard update at West Ham United as Wolves interest emerges, offer impending
Jesse Lingard is moving closer to a decision on his future, with West Ham and Wolves interested in his signature, according to Sky Sports.
The publication reported on its website on Tuesday (5 September) that Wolves could make an offer for the player soon.
The 30-year-old, who had a loan spell in East London during the 2020/21 season, left Nottingham Forest this summer upon the expiry of his contract.

“Jesse Lingard is edging closer to a resolution over his future with West Ham and Wolves both interested,” according to Sky Sports.
“Lingard has been training with West Ham all summer and will play in a behind-closed-doors friendly this week. However, Wolves are now showing interest and could make an offer in the coming days.”

Hammers return?
Hammers fans may have mixed feelings about a return to East London for their former attacker Lingard. On one hand, he enjoyed a superb loan spell at the club, chipping in with several goals and assists as he became a fan favourite.
On the other hand, however, it did not result in a permanent move, with the forward transferring to Nottingham Forest after his time at Old Trafford came to an end.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for the 30-year-old, who can undoubtedly still help many clubs that need an attacking option, more than likely from the bench.
West Ham are not exactly in that position at this moment in time given their strong start to the new season, but they will soon be up against it when the Europa League gets underway.
Current attackers Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen and Said Benrahma perhaps won’t say no to a helping hand when the fixtures come thick and fast.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers have a new hero as stunning Premier League statistics have emerged after the recent win against Luton Town.
