Sheffield United stance on Oliver Arblaster transfer emerges amid West Ham United and Aston Villa interest

Sheffield United would “find it difficult” to reject offers for midfielder Oliver Arblaster amid transfer interest from West Ham and Aston Villa, according to The Guardian.

Writing on their website (22 May), the news outlet report that the 20-year-old is someone the Blades would like to keep after their relegation back to the Championship this season.

However, they’re likely to find it difficult to fend off interest from Premier League clubs, with the Hammers interested in getting a deal done to bolster their squad.

West Ham want to add quality youth to their ranks

West Ham will know that their current squad is beginning to age, and they will need to replenish it in the coming windows with top young talent.

The club are interested in signing Wesley, a sensational teenage winger from Brazil, to help strengthen their attack and the “highly-rated” young Arblaster is someone who could come in and do the same for their midfield.

Youngsters like George Earthy and Freddie Potts are ready to come through and make an impression, but you can never have too much quality in your squad.

West Ham want to sign Oliver Arblaster.

With Julen Lopetegui set to come in and make changes to put his stamp on the squad, Arblaster is a player who he could coach and mould into whatever he wants for his team.

He’s unlikely to cost too much either considering Sheffield United’s financial situation, so this is definitely one to pay attention to over the coming weeks and months.

In other West Ham news, the club have tabled a £22m offer for this “superstar”.
