Pablo Fornals footage drops at London Stadium, he is not happy in West Ham United exit twist

Footage has emerged of Pablo Fornals inside the London Stadium amid a potential twist in his move from West Ham to Real Betis.

TNT Sports posted a video on Twitter of the Spanish international on his phone after the full-time whistle of the game between the Hammers and Bournemouth on Thursday (1 February), where he was wearing an Irons tracksuit.

Pundit Aaron McLean said the 27-year-old looked like a man whose deal has just “fallen through” after the attacking midfielder was expected to undergo a medical in London ahead of his proposed move to the La Liga club.

Strange

It always seems so strange when clubs leave it so late in the transfer window to get a deal done when they’ve had an entire month to do business.

West Ham and Real Betis have been haggling over a transfer fee over the past few days and that’s what has prevented the deal from moving forward quicker.

It looks likely that the move is now off as there is no reason why he would be inside the London Stadium wearing a Hammers tracksuit if he was joining the Spanish club.

It’s unclear why the deal may not be progressing forward, but it will be a great disappointment to the attacking midfielder as he was keen to leave and secure more regular football.

If he does end up staying, there should still be a role for him with us in the second half of the campaign as we look to fight on two fronts over the next few months.
