Nuno Espirito Santo ready to sell first West Ham player already after days at Rush Green

Nuno Espirito Santo got off to a solid start in his first game as West Ham drew 1-1 with Everton on Monday.

Jarrod Bowen’s second-half strike secured a point for West Ham on 29 September, which cancelled out Michael Keane’s headed goal at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Concerns have again been raised about the Hammers’ aerial threat, with Keane left unchallenged by Konstantinos Mavropanos for the opener.

However, Nuno appears to have had an immediate impact at West Ham, with the Portuguese boss not afraid to make big changes.

West Ham will listen to offers for James Ward-Prowse in January

James Ward-Prowse had been linked with an exit from West Ham in the summer, but Graham Potter elected to keep him around.

He became a regular under Potter, starting most of the Hammers’ opening games, with the 50-year-old even getting booed for his decision not to hook him off in the defeat to Crystal Palace.

Nuno made the decision not to include Ward-Prowse in the squad for Monday evening’s game against Everton and held conversations with the midfielder.

Despite having played under the Portuguese manager during their time together at Nottingham Forest, Ward-Prowse doesn’t appear to be in his plans.

According to talkSPORT, the Hammers will listen to offers for the 30-year-old in January, and it is thought he would be open to a return to his old club, Southampton.

West Ham signed Ward-Prowse from the Saints in a deal worth £30million, but he has yet to show his qualities at the London Stadium.

West Ham to replace James Ward-Prowse with Ibrahima Sangare

The Hammers are expected to approach Ibrahima Sangare in January, after Nottingham Forest turned down their loan approach in the summer.

Ward-Prowse’s sale could free up funds for the Hammers to make a permanent offer for the 27-year-old, which could tempt him away from the East Midlands.

Having worked with him at the City Ground, Nuno will have the advantage of bringing him to East London.

Sangare hasn’t played much football for Forest this season and would likely be a starter for West Ham.
