Niclas Fullkrug submits West Ham transfer request as AC Milan update emerges
Niclas Fullkrug has asked to leave West Ham ahead of the January transfer window.
Fullkug is currently out injured at West Ham after picking up yet another issue in a long line of problems at the London Stadium.
Callum Wilson came in to replace the Germany international as West Ham secured a 3-1 win over Newcastle last time around.
Fullkrug’s latest injury at West Ham could prove to be his last, with Sky Sports Germany reporting on 3 November that he has submitted a transfer request.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are reportedly open to any January offers, following AC Milan’s previous interest.
AC Milan could return Niclas Fullkrug interest in January
Fullkrug signed for West Ham from Borussia Dortmund over a year ago, but has simply failed to live up to expectations.
Having previously featured in a Champions League final, there was hope that the experienced forward would hit the ground running in East London.
That hasn’t been the case, and he has scored just three goals in claret and blue in a hugely frustrating spell full of injury worries.
The German could look to end his pain at the London Stadium by moving on in January, but may struggle from a lack of potential suitors.
Fullkrug was central to interest from AC Milan last season, according to a Sky Germany’s report, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic put an end to the potential move.
A deal in the region of £17.5million was discussed at the time, but it is felt any deal this winter would be at a much lower price, if not a loan or exchange deal.

The fitness of the former Werder Bremen player has been a major concern over the past year, and it doesn’t appear to be improving anytime soon.
Nuno has spoken openly about the striker’s injury worries and how he is keen to find a solution in his squad for the time being.
Speaking in mid-October, the head coach said: “For this specific position, we have Callum Wilson. We also have a young kid [Marshall], who already came on in the last game.
“But we will have to find solutions as a team. [A solution to Fullkrug’s injury] will have to be found.“
The sale of the German could open the Hammers up to new possibilities in the transfer market, with a new signing potentially in the pipeline.
